King of Demons: Chapter 2

-Telling the Family-
Chapter 2

“Where do you think he went, Sara?” Jessica asked panicked. “He could have been killed by demons or he could have killed himself. I don’t know what I’d do without him…” Jessica sobbed.
“Cheer up Jess, he wouldn’t do it. He was just whining. You’re the reason he’s still here, nothing will change that.” Sara reasoned. “My little bro would never do something that stupid, even if he isn’t very bright,” Sara continued. Nate stepped through the blue light once again to find Jessica. He came in just in time to hear Sara’s insult.
“Really Sis, making fun of me when I’m not even here?” Nate retorted.
“Nate!” Jessica yelled running and hugging Nate. She nearly knocked him to the ground.
“Jeez’ careful. Don’t knock me down,” Nate replied hugging her. “I love you….And I have something to tell you. Sara, get Zane. This involves all of you. Technically it involves all three worlds.” Nate said panicked, but stared at the ceiling in thought as Sara fetched Zane. Sara rushed back in with Zane slowly trailing behind.
“Tell us what's going on damn it.” Sara demanded.
“What are you guys talking about?” Zane asked in a muffled tone.
“Father is dead, Sara. Nate announced slightly happy.
“Oh thank god.” Sara replied blatantly.
“Yeah that’s not nearly all.” Nate said. “The old fucker is dead, yeah. But the demons need a new ruler. And so they summoned me,” Nate explained.
“Haha they chose YOU?” Sara scoffed. “My powers are twice as powerful as yours. Plus you’re not the killing type lil’ bro,” Sara laughed.
“Nate, there’s no way you can accept. I mean, Sara’s right. You couldn’t kill, could you?” Jessica asked trying to talk him out of it.
“Guys, they said the world would fall out of order. If I don’t, angels will fall, humans will die and demons will go rogue and annihilate all good. I have to be the one to keep order,” Nate tried to explain. “I want you all to come with me. Live with me in the underworld, we’ll live as royalty, gain demonic influence, make the rules and live as the Royal Exilus Family. Zane you shall take command should I die; Sara you shall live as you please, kill as you please. And Jessica… Will you be my Queen?” Nate said gazing lovingly into Jessica’s eyes.
“Why do you want me to rule?” Zane interrupted.
“If I die, I want a good, noble and worldly man to take my place, and to protect Jessica and Sara. You are the only man for the job,” Nate replied.
“Sexist,” Sara interjected.
“Anyways,” Jessica interrupted to answer Nate’s original question. “Yes Nate I will be your Queen,” she replied.
“I love you so much,” Nate said, kissing Jessica. The love he felt for her burned greater than the molten core of the underworld. He would give up his life to protect her. Nate was in fact breaking an oath he had made to himself; he swore never to follow in his father’s footsteps. Nate was crossing his own boundaries to protect her. He hated it, but he knew she was worth it.
“Yeah, well we have to be there by sunset and its winter… The sun will be down in about two hours,” Nate said looking at his silver watch with a blue band. “Get all your stuff and be here by 6:00. I’ll be waiting for you all. We’ve got serious packing to do,” Nate said, walking out of the room without another word; he was trying to gather his thoughts to prepare for the days ahead.

King of Demons: Chapter 1

Chapter one:
Becoming King

“Let me die,” Nate said to his love, Jessica.
“I cannot provide for you my dear…” he continued. “Find another who can. I'm failing my classes; I just can’t understand the things they teach us. They are useless. Chemistry helps no one, math is “imaginary” and English is naptime.” Nate sighed.
“No, I love you! No matter what, you cannot leave me. I hate it here too, but but... Am I not enough to keep you here?” Jessica cried, arms wrapped tightly around Nate.
“That is a double-edged sword princess. For if I say you are not enough you are mad at me. But if I say you are then I must stay,” Nate replied with a frown.
“You’re saying that you don’t want to stay with me? There’s never anything I can do to make you happy… Why do I even try?” Jessica muttered.
“Triple-edged apparently…” Nate said under his breath. “You don’t get it do you? I'm always so happy when I’m with you,” He said truthfully. “Yesterday when you were gone, I was… I missed you…more than I can possibly say… I may act fine around everyone else, but I really did miss you…” Nate continued on. “But Jess, it’s not about my happiness, I want you to live well, not living paycheck to paycheck with me,” Nate finished with a sigh.
“I...I... I’m not going to care about anyone as much as I care about you!” Jessica cried. “I don’t want anyone but you!” Jessica said holding onto Nate’s hand tightly.
“I don’t care! You need to choose someone else. I can’t take care of you… I need you to find someone else who you can fall in love with. Someone who will always take care of you,” Nate commanded. Nate picked up Jessica and laid her down on her bed. Jessica pulled Nate on top of her.
“I love you and only you,” Jessica whispered into Nate’s ear and kissed him passionately. Her lips mingled with his; her warm lips brought Nate to life, like a spark in the dry grass. He was on fire and wanted to do everything with her. He loved her with all his heart and he knew that if he didn’t get away, he wouldn’t be able to escape his desires.
“Jess…I have to go now,” Nate said trying to escape her kisses. “Let me go, dear,” He said sternly when she wouldn’t let go of his neck. Jessica started pulling Nate down and started kissing his neck. Her tongue danced across his neck. He kissed her one last time and finally pulled away. He stroked her leg and said, “I love you. But now I must go.”
“Why cant you sta..?” Jessica was interrupted by a sudden shake and a hellish black and red glow that ominously swallowed her beloved. “What…Where did you go?! You can’t just leave me like this. And how come you didn’t use your normal blue glow to teleport?!” Jessica screamed to the air around her.
“Jess…What the hell? Where am I?” Nate said in a worried tone.
“Welcome…We think we could be of service to you…” A hooded figure said, emphasizing the word ‘Service’ in a creepy manor. Nate now stood in a dungeon-like room full of skulls.
“What the..? Who are you people…Why did you take me away from her?” Nate said frantically. “What do you need from me?” Nate asked the hooded figure who stood before many other cloaks, who Nate assumed to be demons.
“We are demons, as I’m sure you figured out. But we wish for you to be our king. We want to serve you in any ways possible.” The speaker’s voice boomed and echoed through the giant Great Hall.
“You dare summon an angel to rule over these pits of hell?” Nate exclaimed. “You are all pitiful. None of you wish to take the throne?” Nate said pointing at the red and black spiked throne that was surrounded by molten looking brimstone.
“Your father ruled over us for many years, and none of us have the royal Exilus bloodline that you do... You must take the throne. If you refuse, chaos will befall your human world and the angels will all fall to the demonic power.” One demon piped up, stepping foreword from the crowd.
“I don’t give a damn about the angels!” Nate scoffed. “My half demon blood may keep me alive through the chaos but I have renounced my demon side,” Nate continued to laugh at the idea. “One question though, May I bring humans and angels to safely reside here if I choose to take you up on this offer?” Nate inquired.
“If you do choose to rule us, you may do as you wish, but we ask that they accompany you at all times. Good does not get along well in this place,” the first speaker barked.
“I order that you all may kill any angel you wish, except for the ones that accompany me or any that I deem untouchable. You may not lay a hand on the angels Zane or Sara, as well as the human Jessica. If any harm comes to them, every demon head here will roll. They will all personally face MY wrath,” Nate threatened.
“One more thing your majesty…” the speaker trailed off.
“What is it?” Nate barked.
“Sir the coronation must take place tonight…” He paused again as if he was expecting to be hit with a fireball. “It’s a full moon.” He finished and gulped as if he was being interrogated.
“That’s really cliché,” Nate laughed. “I mean werewolves, witches; they all need the full moon. Demons aren’t any different than the common werewolf?” Nate laughed hysterically, mocking the demons. A roar of angry shouts arose from the crowd and hit Nate like a tidal wave. “God damn, I was kidding, don’t take me seriously. I like to joke. I'm not like my sociopath father,” Nate’s booming laughter could be heard by all the demons in the Great Hall.
“Sir your father was a good man, please don’t make fun of the banished,” a cloak stepped foreword, removed his hood and reached his hand to shake Nate’s hand.
“What’s your name demon?” Nate asked.
“I am called Sid; I was your father’s loyal servant for my entire life.” Sid said.
“I see... Well that’s about to change,” Nate said to Sid. “My father is never to be spoken of by any demon, unless I demand it.” Nate’s voice echoed through the halls.
“Yes sir.” Sid agreed. Nate stepped back and paused. “I will be departing to get what I require and retrieve my allies. I shall be back by sunset. Sid you are to prepare for the ceremony.” Nate ordered.
“As you desire, my lord... Do come back safely sir,” Sid said replied with a bow. Nate exited with a small flash of pale blue light. Nate sighed, “I hate meetings with demons. So damn official.” Nate remembered the harsh training his father put him through as a child. Being a demonic prince had scared Nate forever. “I hated him. I never asked to be part of the damn Exilus bloodline. All I want is to be with Jess… But I have to be king to keep the order of the world so she may live,” Nate muttered to himself. Nate would do anything for her, and now he didn’t have to worry about things as pathetic as high school classes. Nate ruled the underworld; he could provide for his beloved. Nate started thinking about what he would do if she refused to go with him; would she want just a normal life? Would he be alone in the underworld forever? “I have to take my chances; she isn’t just a normal human after all…” Nate trailed off. Jessica was an oracle, after a past life, Nate sacrificed his power to be with her. Jessica then received half of Nate’s angelic powers. She did not receive any of the demonic half however for he was able to keep them. She had been an oracle for several years but had only learned about it in her current life.

Done

The last words you want to hear
Coming from the last person you would expect,
Your best friend wants to die
"I'm done."

Losing you is my worst fear
I can tell you anything,
Over you I start to cry
You have no idea how much I care.

I may joke, but isn't it clear?
You're my best friend
Don't say that your life is one big lie
How do I know that you're still here?

Please don't make real what we both fear
Writing this will change nothing…
If it'll make you better, leave me, die
I'm done waiting for you to go over the edge
Done…

.Blindness.

.Blindness.

God, a man-made concept?
If ever an all powerful being existed,
He must have been blind, for death is all eyes and can see everything
God never looks upon us with pride nor pity,
For he cannot look at all.
God has everything but sight.
God may speak, but he made humans deaf to his tones.
If ever a god existed,
He is as flawed as we are, possibly even more-so.
He may have more strength, more power, but his blindness caused humanity.
His blindness was the creation of us... But it shall also be our downfall.
Humans will be the end of this world we call home.
God (if there is such a power) must be blind.

All Eyes

Death is a featureless face,
Death is all eyes,
It cannot hear your screams,
It may only see your pain, and watch you try to run
It lusts to watch your bones crack, watch you fall limp, lying in a pool of your own blood.
The eyes watch you, chase you, every turn you take they follow right behind,
It seems death is one step ahead of you,
With every turn you make, you're one step closer to it
No one can run from death,
Its all around you, surrounding you with its big, glaring, hateful eyes.
It has no ears to listen to your screams, or even to hear the crackle of your bones when it finally does catch up with you.
No mouth to warn you of your demise, it cannot taunt you, it may only catch you by surprise.
Death has no nose to smell the blood and gore. All Eyes.
No arms to grab you, no legs to chase you, just floating eyes,
The eyes stare directly into your soul,
When its your time,
It devours your soul,
With each soul it takes, another eye is created.
Endless eyes.
Time for me To die,
For all i see is Eyes...

Always There

I know that you're the only one to really care
I swear,
I know that you're always there.
You overlook any flaws i may have,
You're all I have,
Everything I need.
When I'm with you I can be myself,
To laugh or to cry,
Without you I'd rather die.
My true love.
Thank you my dear,
For just being here.

Love Changes Everything.

Love changes everything.
It makes you care for another,
I'd sacrifice it all for you to be happy.
I would rather you be happy without me,
Than miserable with me here.

Love changes everything.
It makes you put your heart out in the open.
I tell you everything,
You can name more about me than anyone else.

Love changes everything,
For you and for me.
I'd do anything for you, and you for me.
We may fight,
But we make it right.
Forgive and Forget.

Love changes everything,
But we never truly forget.
Fights leave scars,
Bandages can't heal all wounds.
Over time we'll heal,
For now the scars remain.

Love changes everything,
But I've forgiven you
Please forgive yourself and me too.
For i cannot live without the things you do.

Hourglass of the Universe.

Turn the hourglass,
As the light fades to night,
The stars fall from what was the ground into the sky
When they hit the smooth surface, they begin to glow,
Illuminating the sky, they fill the universe with beauty

The stars are the beauty in the world.
When the Sun floats back to the earth,
The stars must take their original forms,
The colors of the world.
Each color, each shape, everything that is original
Each one is a star.

Turn the hourglass,
As the sun creeps back to the world below, so do the stars.
Every flower, rock and body of water is a fallen star.
Each fallen star shall have its time in the sky again,
Just wait until the hourglass is turned.
Every star shall fall back into place.

Figure It Out.

I hear that he ignores you,
I can't stand to hear it,
For there are many who would drop everything for you.
But there is one who's heart is on the brink
The edge, this may be his last few moments.
But you won't give him a chance.
You're too focused on an idiot.
All the girls seem to go for the wrong person,
Hurting those who truly care and loving those who truly don't.
If he really does care for you, he doesn't show it.
So get over him.
Because you have a guy right here, who would drop everything for YOU.

Obviously you could both be happy,
But you both sit and sulk
You're both too damn stubborn.
He should talk to you.
But he's too afraid.
And you're too scared to get over a jerk.
It happens in life,
There will always be a breakup or two,
It WILL hurt.
But don't let that ruin your other chances.
He wants to get to know you,
And you don't seem to know what you want.
Figure it out.

Get Creative.

A wordless song stuck in my head.
No notes played,
No lyrics written,
A blank music sheet.

A blank image frozen in mind.
No strokes of a brush,
Not even a line of a pencil.
A blank canvas.

The perfect picture, an empty photo.
Not a shot,
The camera is left untouched.
Empty filmstrips.

Start composing,
Sing to your hearts content.
Start drawing,
Paint until you have what you envisioned.
Take a photograph from every angle you can think of,
Get the perfect shot.
Because if you don't do these things, who will?

"family"

Father - you think you're perfect when in fact you're a terrible, rude and hateful person.
Mother - You act like nothing's going on, nothing's wrong, when really your son hates his life and prays for death to take him.
Younger Sister - You whine and complain getting others yelled at.
Youngest Sister - You're spoiled as hell and you are treated like you're perfect.
And then there's me, the accident. I get blamed for most everything, sometimes rightfully so, but often not. I'm done with all of you. Have fun with this "family."

Just Us

I'm not mad at you...
Not really anyways.
I'm mad because..
Well we can never escape and be alone
We're always around people that i don't care for
People who shall remain nameless
Not because I care if they see this,
But because I don't care for them.
All I want is to be alone with you and our true friends...
The ones we can just talk and laugh with.
Just Our Group..
And I want it to remain it's small self.
Just us.
The ones I know I can trust.

What I Want

What do I really want?
I couldn't tell you
You all tell me that I should show emotions.
But I've been told that that's wrong.
All my life I've shown nothing.
Now everyone wants me to change.
Well that's not what I want.
I'm MEANT to be alone.
It's not what I want.
But I'm supposed to be alone.
So leave me while you still can.

Six Months -So Far-

I've loved it all,
It all started when I kissed your cheek.
I knew that it was you I wanted to spend every day of every week
Everyday before then I would sit and think,
Wondering how you felt, what you wanted and what I could do to win your heart,
But I realized I didn't want to win or to lose…
I wanted you to choose
What you really wanted,
Whether it be me or another who could make you happy
And now,
We're both cheerful
We love each other.
We only need one another.

The Days Go By

Every second counts
I count down the minutes till I can see you every morning.
During the hours of night I dream of you,
My love grows with each passing day.
The thoughts of you grow in intensity with every week that goes by.
Each month we get closer and closer.
And when the years start to roll by,
We can be together,
Always
